An initial intake phone call, free of charge, will be scheduled to briefly discuss your concerns and ensure that the type of treatment offered at my practice will be a good fit for your family. A 75-minute parent intake session will then be scheduled to discuss your concerns in detail as well as pertinent history of your child and family.
The parent intake session is typically followed by an individual child diagnostic session, a family play session, and lastly, another parent session to discuss clinical impressions and collaborate on a plan for treatment. This process may differ slightly depending on the needs of each individual family. School observations, as well as contact with teachers, caregivers, or other professionals involved with your child will also be conducted when indicated. All therapy sessions, with the exception of the intake session, or when otherwise planned for, are for a duration of 50 minutes.
During treatment, parents are continuously encouraged to share feedback about the process, including aspects of treatment that feel productive and helpful, as well as any concerns that arise. I view treatment with families as a collaborative process, and it is important that you feel as if your needs are being met and progress is being made. Our plans for treatment and directions moving forward will be reevaluated on an ongoing basis so that you and your family can experience the improvement and success you are seeking.

I do not participate directly with any insurance plans and am considered an “out-of- network” provider. This means that all payments are to be made directly to me at the time of service. Should you wish to pursue reimbursement from your insurance provider, it is advised that you contact your provider directly to understand your out-of-network coverage. You will be provided with a receipt following each session, which you may then submit to your insurance provider in order to be reimbursed. Please note that a diagnosis must be provided to the insurance company in order for you to be reimbursed for mental health services.
